Introduction

The filter bar in Astrato is the information center for the user,
In the filter bar, the user can learn about the current filters applied in the app and add or remove filters.
The filter bar also allows users to change the active fields in the Drill-through dimension, interact with the dashboard using AI insights, and more.



Filter Bar Settings

General Settings

  • Show add filter button: This toggles the visibility of the new filter button. When the button is hidden, users can't add new filters directly in the filter bar.

    • Set selectable fields: This allows you to choose which fields can be selected as filterable options.

  • Hide Drill-Through Icon: Hides the drill-through icon, which is used to change the active field in any Drill-through dimension.

  • Hide fields: This option prevents specified fields from appearing in the filter bar; selections in those fields are still possible.

    • Select fields: This allows you to choose which fields will be hidden from the filter bar

Advanced Settings

  • Time travel: Enables a time travel feature to view historical data. To learn more about the time travel setting, check this article.

  • Insights: Toggles the visibility of the AI "Insights" dialogue. AI Insights object generates data insights based on the dashboard or a selected chart.

  • Custom buttons: Allows you to add custom buttons to the filter bar.

Style Settings

  • Opacity: Sets the overall opacity/transparency of the filter bar.

  • Background blur: This applies a background blur effect to the filter bar.
