How to Fix Unexpected Logouts in Brave
If you want Brave to retain your sessions more like Chrome does, check the following settings:
Verify Global Cookie Settings:
Go to
brave://settings/cookies(or Settings > Privacy and security > Site and Shields settings > Cookies).Ensure "Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows" is Disabled.
Check Brave Shields Settings:
Go to
brave://settings/shields.Ensure "Forget me when I close this site" is turned Off.
Add Exceptions for Key Sites:
In
brave://settings/cookies, scroll to "Sites that can always use cookies" and add domains where you want permanent logins (e.g.,[*.]google.com,[*.]github.com).
Disable Shields on Trusted Work Apps:
If an internal tool or app with multi-domain authentication keeps logging you out, click the Brave Shield icon (lion logo) in the address bar while on that site and toggle Shields off for that specific origin.
