The Toolbar in the Workbook Editor
Once you've added the data connections, and organized your data model in the Data View Editor (DVE), the next thing on your list may be creating your dashboard.
Within the Workbook Editor, the Toolbar has the data objects and controls to create your interactive content. Double-click or drag-and-drop them from the toolbar on your sheet to get started.
Toolbar - design and advanced tools for analysis
We’ve split the features into two broad categories - design, and advanced tools for analysis and interaction.
Design
Visuals - Icons of all the data objects are monochrome, so the details are easier to see and improve the differentiation of the list of data objects.
Filters - add dynamic filters and sliders to your data objects.
Controls - these are objects used to manage the display within the visualization.
Graphics - add text, shapes, and images to your sheet.
When you click a design icon, a Search field displays at the top when the panel expands. Type directly in the Search field to find and select what you want faster.
Advanced tools for analysis and interaction
Gallery - uploading media (images) for use in your workbook.
Layers - adding and managing layers of objects.
Variables - creating number, string, or Boolean variables.
Actions - create advanced analytics and interactions using our no-code action blocks.
