In this article, we're going to show you how to connect your Astrato workspace to Google Sheets. It's designed to be a quick process, and easy to follow.
When you're setting up your data connection, you'll be asked to enter information about your data source. We've listed all the items you need here.
Connection Name - think of a name to give your data connection.
Google Account - you'll need to be logged in to the Google account you want to use, or enter your username and password when asked. When you log in, Google will ask you to consent to Astrato being able to access your Google workspace (Sheets and Drive).
Google Sheet - the sheet you'll be using as a data source, you can use the sheet name or the spreadsheet URL or ID.
Create New Connection
Select Data in the sidebar and click on Create Data to open the Create New Data Source screen (Figure 1).
Click on the Google Sheets icon.
When the Connect to a Google spreadsheet page opens, you can either search for a spreadsheet and select it, or enter a Google Spreadsheet URL or ID.
Select the spreadsheet you want to use, then Click Connect.
If the connection is successful and the data source is created, the Data View Editor will open.

If you get an error about connecting to Google Sheets, please check the sheet name or URL/ID, and try to connect again. You can find more information in our Astrato Troubleshooting Guide. If you're still getting an error, click the chat icon (bottom right) to raise a support ticket (Figure 2).
